Description
When backing up multiple VMs you notice the following error message on one or more jobs: "Error Message: 2061 - FATAL cant_close_detail can't close cifs:localhost;vranger@192.168.160.174/Savepoint_Path/Savepoint.var (Connection timed out) [at handle_error:46]"

Cause
A possible cause of this is a bottleneck on the repository.

Resolution
In vRanger, navigate to tools - options - job configuration and bring the values back to default:
Maximum Number of tasks per Lun = 3
Maximum number of tasks per Host = 1
Maximum number of tasks per Repository = 3
