When replicating using the vRanger Virtual Appliance Hotadd replictions may fail with the above error message.
Please be sure that the block size of the VMFS volume is large enough to accommodate the largest disk being replicated. The VMFS volume in question is the volume where the .vmx file is located. Below is a list of block sizes and the maximum size vmdk file they can accommodate.
1 MB block size = 256 GB maximum file size
2 MB block size = 512 GB maximum file size
4 MB block size = 1024 GB maximum file size
8 MB block size = 2048 GB maximum file size
