When trying to mount a virtual machine image through a VCB Proxy for individual file backups, only some partitions (e.g. C) appear for selection, but other partitions (on other disks) don't show.
There aren't too many cases were an "Independent - Persistent" disk is necessary. Evaluate whether your application really requires it. If not, try modifying the disk so that it isn't independent anymore.
If you need the disk to be "Independent - Persistent", you can't mount for individual file-level backup nor backup the entire vm image, as a workaround you can alternatively install a NetVault client inside the Guest OS.
