Description:
Fiber attached library doesn't show up in NetVault, but drives do.
Symptoms:
The library device won't be seen in NetVault, but the drives can be.
probe-scsi-all will show that the library can be seen by the computer.
1. Run cfgadm -al.
2. Find the entry for the library device.
On Fiber attached libraries it might look like this.
c9::2100001086129614 med-changer connected configured unknown
3. In /usr/kernel/drv/nv.conf make an entry that looks like this for fiber attached libraries.
name="nv" parent="fp" target=0 lun=0 fc-port-wwn="2100001086129614";
Make sure that the WWN (World Wide Name) is exactly as is shown in the output from cfgadm –al.
4. Run add_drv nv
