Backups failing with "FATAL cant_read can't read phys:/vmfs/volumes/DatastoreGUID/VMName/VMName-f
Description

Original backup job works, but then the VM is modified (e.g. disk is modified, or VM gets vmotioned to another Host in a cluster by DRS, etc.).The backup job has no way of knowing the VM has been modified so begins failing with this error.
Resolution

Refresh Inventory in the Ranger GUI
Restart the Ranger services, or reboot the Ranger server
Also create the job at the cluster level or VM level not host level.If done at the cluster/vm level this is vmotion aware.
