Description

After a successful backup and LAN-free restore, the VM fails to boot with the error ' A disk read error occured, Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart'
Cause

This is a defect regarding LAN-free restores to a VMFS formatted with 1 or 2 MB block size that is still not resolved
Resolution

Restore LAN-free to a VMFS with 4 or 8 MB block size or perform a restore over LAN
