Symptoms:
In random intervals, the nvrepdbmgr process is crashing. On Windows, this is evident through a popup on the screen and a message in the event logs, on other operating systems you would see it in the system logs.
Reason:
The investigation by engineering revealed that this is a side-effect of another fault (NVG-4028), and is a problem with the compression code that is used during the transmission of the statistical data from a Smart Client.
The problem has been addressed in NetVault 8u2. Perform a backup of your database, and the upgrade to this version or any higher version.
