A physical backup targeting a DDboost repository fails with " "Error: 2048 - FATAL ddb_conn DD Boost cannot connect to (IP address) (rpc connection failure) [at ddb_open_conn:357]"" -
Cause
There is firewall enabled between the physical server and the DataDomain repository. -
Resolution
The network administrator should verify the following ports are open:
● TCP 2049 (NFS)
● TCP 2051 (Replication)
● TCP 111 (NFS portmapper)
