Description: Number of NDMP appliance attached devices = unlimited, but cannot add another Filer (NDMP Filer)
Symptoms: When you go in to see your licensing information, it shows that the Number of NDMP appliance attached devices = unlimited, but you cannot add another NDMP Filer.
The reason is the following - The "Unlimited" - Number of NDMP appliance devices - is in reference to "devices (Stand Alone Tape Drive, Library (autoloader) - whether it be a Physical or Virtual Device)....... It does not have anything to do with how many NDMP "Filers" you can are Licensed for... each individual Filer has to be licensed individually, therefore... if you want to add more then 1 NDMP Filer, and you are technically only License for one... you'll need to Purchase additional licenses for them.
Note: Make sure that the NDMP Plugin license has the total number Filers you wish to install, as NetVault doesn't add separate NDMP Plugin license keys together.
