Job Status Unknown message in Reports (4044448)

Description: Running Overnight Job Summary Report or any reports dealing with historic Jobs continually show jobs in the report with “Status Unknown”. These jobs may have been deleted from the Schedule quite some time ago yet it continue to show up in the Report.

This problem is also common with NDMP child jobs that are automatically deleted on completion.

Just deleting the job from being Scheduled to run does not delete the actual job. In Job Management go the “Jobs” tab and you will most likely see the job still there. Delete the job and the problem should go away.

Another resolution might be to run “../netvault/util/nvscheddbcheck compact” (only found in Netvault 8.0 and higher). This will attempt to repair the database.
