When choosing not to use the Deduplication functionality of SmartDisk, you can disable both the Deduplication and Garbage Collection processes, which can simplify SmartDisk operations.
Edit the ..\smartdisk\diskmanager\etc\smartdisk.cfg file and modify the existing values for Deduplication and GC to the following:
[Deduplication:Enable]
Value = FALSE
[Deduplication:GC]
Value = Never
Once the changes are made, save the file and restart the SmartDisk services to push the changes live.
