After upgrading to a new verison of vRanger, backup, restore, and FLR may fail as processes are blocked by anti virus on demand/real-time type scanning.
We have seen this with several anti virus offerings, including, but not limited to, symantec End Point Protection, Sophos, McAfee, and ESET Antivirus.
In order to get around related failures you need to add to exception list for all scans, and in some cases if file was quaratined, restored.
The exceptions need to added for the following executables:
access.exe, delete.exe, free.exe, touch.exe, verify.exe, backup.exe, metadata.exe, and restore.exe
This example is exception list for symantec end point protection. The files were blocked and quarentined so they need to excluded and restored.
