When you attempt to perform File Level Restore (FLR) from a very large backup a backup over 1TB in size you see error Error: Mount Failed. Also if you look in the windows event viewer you as error similar to this "FATAL cant_read_detail can't read cifs:domain;username@XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX/share/VMName_423a720f-7f74-2712-bd9f-02ee299465ef/ISSALFSMTL01P_20111108_075710_91b9e9f0-a4e6-41db-a80c-2d6299360d72/ISSALFSMTL01P_20111108_075710_F_2_VMNAME-flat_vmdk.var (Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service.) [at cifs_read:282]"

If you are using Windows 2003 as the OS that vRanger is installed on that is where the limitation lies.
To get around this issue install vRanger on a Windows 2008 R2 machine and FLR will work correctly for the very large backup.
