Application Information - Oracle 10.0.2.x using ASM.
Symptoms:
Restoring a tablespace fails with error ORA-0115.
When running a restore of tablespaces the following error message is seen:
ORA-01157: cannot identify/lock data file 9 - see DBWR trace file
ORA-01110: data file 9: '+DATA/emeanew/datafile/emea3.471.655293601'
1) Edit the restore job and navigate to the restore options subtab on the restore options tab,
2) Select "Check read-only datafile and restore if necessary",
3) If performing a recovery, also select "Check read-only datafiles and recovery if necessary".
This is a generic error message and may be caused by more than one issue, however, it can be caused by a read-only datafile not being restored when required.
