To resolve the issue please perform the following:
- open regedit, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AppRecovery\Core\Replication\RemoteCores\Slaves
- backup the whole registry branch to the file, in case something will go wrong
- open Core console, Replication and delete the replication target, writing down its hostname
- back to regedit, verify if there are several {GUID} subkeys under the ...\Slaves key
- if there are several, expand each one and note the HostName value
- delete the {GUID} branch key, which is containing failing replication target HostName
- add replication target again using the Core console
