Change Block Tracking filter fails on a backup or replication job.
Description

When backing up or replicating a particular Virtual Machine you notice the following lines in the task log:
Change Block Tracking filter created: True
The change block filter failed on /vmfs/volumes/Datastore_Name/VM_Name/VM_Name-flat.vmdk.
Cause

A possible cause of this is that vRanger cannot access the necessary files on the host to perform Change Block Tracking on the job.
Resolution
Note: Verify that the disks on the machine you are backing up\replicating have disks with whole number. If the disks for this machine has a capacity of a non-whole number (nnn.nnnnnnnnn GB), then increase the disk size to the next whole number.
1. To reset CBT, in the vRanger UI go to "My Inventory".
2. Right-click the affected VM and select 'Disable Change Tracking'.
3. In the VMware vSphere client, take and snapshot, with the memory unselected, and then remove that snapshot.
4. Re-enable CBT in vRanger by right-clicking the VM and selecting 'Enable Change Tracking'.
5. Repeat step 3 to take and remove another shapshot in vSphere.
6. Test the backup|replication job.
Additional Information

A possible resolution is to migrate the Virtual Machine to a different host and datastore, or to reboot the ESXi host.
