Description:
Running a backup of an NVFR server and receiving the warning of “The handle is invalid”.
Symptoms:
Job will exit with warnings, and an error will be logged for some files that "The handle is invalid"
Backing the NVFR machine can be accomplished by doing the following:
1) Make sure that the NetVault Backup Server is part of the same domain as the domain being used for the NVFR authentication
2) Export (create CIFS view) the data from the NVFR storage, and just take the default setting.
3) From the NetVault Backup Server, map a drive to the CIFS view (\\NVFRVirtualIp\ShareName)
4) Back up the files from the mapped drive.
