Description: How do I set the option use barcodes as lables?
Run the Netvault configurator and on the Media Manager Tab, select the option to "Use Barcodes as labels."
This change is not retro-active. It will not automatically re-label tapes that already have data on them. Tapes marked for re-use will not get the barcode as the label. It will only take place when a tape is blanked and re-labeled.
Note: this setting will not label a tape that is imported directly into a tape drive. The tape must be loaded from a slot for this option to work properly. To insure that all tapes are returned to their slots it is recommended that you set the option "Return inactive media to slot delay" to 1. This setting can be found when you select modify on the library.
