Description:
How to schedule a phase 2 duplication for a later date.
There are two options available when scheduling duplication phases - "Immediate" and "Once". “Immediate” schedules may not be appropriate, so use the “Once” scheduled type to run the duplication phase at a suitable time.
At the completion of a backup job, it's duplication phase may be scheduled for a one-time execution. The schedule is defined in the NetVault Schedule Management screen, which is activated when configuring the Duplication options on the Advanced Options tab.
The options for configuring the "Once" schedule can be found in the administrators guide, but in the case of scheduling a duplication phase the date in the top right corner of the 'scheduled options' box indicates the earliest possible date that the schedule can occur. Therefore, the duplication phase will occur on the first time/day/date combination that meets the set criteria.
For example, consider a duplication phase schedule where the “Run at” time is 2pm, the “Method” is “Days of week”, the “Options” are “Tuesday, Thursday” and “Weeks in month” is “Second”.
If a backup job ran on the Monday of the second week of the month, it's duplication phase will run at 2pm the next day.
If a backup job ran on the Friday of the third week of the month, it's duplication phase will run at 2pm on Tuesday of the second week of the next month.
As per solution 1101, repeating and triggered schedules are not supported for phase 2 duplications.
