Description:
Error message "Fatal error, duplication error" encountered when duplication is configured as part of the Advanced Options for a backup job. In addition, the Schedule Set for the duplication phase is of the "Repeating" type.
Symptoms:
Error message "Fatal error, duplication error" encountered; the log context shows "Failed to load instance data".
Cause:
The Schedule Set for these type of duplications (they are called "Phase2 Duplications") must be "Immediate" or "Once". "Repeating" type Schedule Sets are not compatible with Phase2 Duplications.
Change the Advanced Options for the job/s to perform "Immediate" duplication. As soon as the backup phase of the job completes, the duplicate phase will immediately be queued for execution.
In order to perform regular duplications, at a time other than immediately after the backup phase completes, consider disabling Phase2 Duplication and use the Data Copy plugin instead.
