Description:
Unable to Blank Media - Media Remains with Label
Symptoms:
Customer would blank media with NetVault and the Label would remain. Removing it from the Mediadatabase and recreating the Mediadatabase does not correct this issue.
In this case, the issue was a new batch of tapes that he was able to backup to, load, and unload into the drive...but could not blank. The cause turned out to be that the new batch of tapes turned out to be "WORM" media. Write Once Read Many.
