Backups hangs when the client also has antivirus installed and running.
The anti-virus product appears to sometimes cause the backups to hang whilst we are trying to build the directory tree in preparation for a backup.
There is no fix for this issue other than disabling the on-access element of antivirus or removing/disabling antivirus software itself.
