Description:
This article describes why ODS restore fails with error 'Invalid Restore Path'.


Symptoms:
When restoring ODS files to a different location on a different machine using rename/relocate option with the correct information, the restore fails with:

Warning 2007/06/06 15:31:59 41 Data Plugin NVCLIENT Invalid restore path

With ODS, the restore relocation definition is different to any other type of restore because the Target tab is not available and therefore the relocation machine cannot be selected.
To be able to restore an ODS backup to a different location on a different machine, the information has to be entered in the 'relocate' path, such as: \\machine_name\share_name
