Backup fails with Error Message “Repository doesnot contain enough free space”.
When you backup a VM with a small amount of data and your backup fails with the error message that there is not enough disk space. Although there is enough space to hold all the data from the VM.
Example:
“Message: An internal error occurred during execution, please contactVizioncore support if the error persists. Error Message: Repository doesnot contain enough free space. (20981914KB Needed, 13628468KB Free.)“
vRanger takes the maximum possible amount of data (sum of all VMDK’s) and compares it to space available regardless how much data is actually resides inside the VM.
Three possible solutions:
A)Free up more disk space on the drive with repository.
B)Move repository/create new on another location. (Please edit the job and select new repository).
C)Edit the job and uncheck “Check destination for free space”.
