1- Take note or make a backup of the current transfer schedules. This is only necessary if custom schedules have been setup
There is a powershell script available at
KB157147 , that can help with this procedure.
Note: Quest does not provide support to custom scripts. Detailed information about custom scripts support is available at
KB119405 2- Remove vCenter from protection and associated VMs will also be removed (do NOT select the option to remove recovery points)
3- Move ESXi hosts to new vCenter
4- Re protect machines using the new vCenter
5- Reconfigure schedules or import them from the registry backup previously generated by the powershell script
