There is no ability to perform Hyper-V export for more than 2 TB disk with VHDx disk format if select one time export on 'Select VM Export Type' step -
Description
Steps:1. Protect Agent and create few RPs.2. Open 'Virtual Machine Export' wizard from any place (Core's top menu, RPs tab, Protected Machines tab, Virtual Standby tab).3. On the 'Select VM Export Type' step select 'One-time Export'.4. Try to perform one-time Hyper-V export with VHDx disk format.
Actual result:
The error appears on the last step:
'Due to Hyper-V restrictions, it is not possible to create VHD disks larger than 1.99 TB. The exported machine contains disks that exceed this limitation: O:\ (5.46 TB)'
Expected result:There should not be any errors if try to perform Hyper-V export for more than 2 TB disk with VHDx disk format. -
Cause
This issue has been identified by our application developers as Defect RR-98358 / D-33180. -
Resolution
Our development team has created a patch to permanently fix this problem. Please open a case with technical support to retrieve this patch.
