How to move an Agent from one Repository to another on the same Core (4041539)

An Agent can only exist in one Repository at a time, with in the same Core. You cannot protect an Agent with existing Recovery points in one repository, to another Repository on the same Core. Core logic's will forbid this from occurring. 

In order to move an Agent from one Repository to another on the same core, please see below.

Prerequisites:

1. Steps below are for singles machines using Agent based protection.
2. Steps below will work for Agentless protection, however, it must be done at the host level. This means you must move the host and all agentlessly protected machines from one Repository to another, or none of them.

Solution 1:

1. Delete Recovery Points: Delete all recovery points for the Agent(s) in Repository 1.
2. Reprotect Machines:
   1. Using the Protect Machine Wizard that best suits your needs, select Advanced (show optional steps) in the first section of the wizard. This allows you to reprotect the machine and point it to another Repository.
   2. In the Repository section, select the new Repository.

NOTE: Protection will start with a base image in Repository 2.

Solution 2:

1. Pause Protection: Pause protection for Agent(s) to be moved.
2. Create Archive:
   1. On the top menu of the Core UI, click Archive.
   2. Using the Archive Wizard create a One-time Archive for Agent(s) to be moved.
3. Delete Recovery Points: When the Archive is complete, click on an Agent to be moved, click Recovery Points, and click Delete All. Repeat for all Agents to be moved.
4. Reprotect Machines:
   1. Using the Protect Machine Wizard that best suits your needs, select Advanced (show optional steps) in the first section of the wizard. This allows you to reprotect the machine and point it to another Repository.
   2. In the Repository section, select the new Repository.
   3. After the wizard completes, pause protection immediately if protection was resumed.
5. Import Archive:
   1. On the top menu of the Core UI, click the drop down next to Archive, and select Import Archive.
   2. Using the Archive Wizard import a One-time Archive. The Archive will be imported into the new repository.
6. Resume Protection: Resume protection for Agent(s) that were moved. The next backup will be an incremental.
