How to collect URC logs from a BMR session -
Description
You may be asked to provide Universal Recovery Console (URC) logs to investigate issue with a restore. -
Resolution
The URC logs are generated on the Agent machine during the restore process. You may collect the URC logs as follows:AppAssure1. Start the BMR process using the Boot CD.2. Open URC console and run cmd there.3. Switch to directory X:4. Open Apprecovery.log located on X:\ folder.5. Save the log file to a shared folder, say "\\10.10.10.10\Shared"6. On a separate machine, send the log file to the Engineer who has requested it.Rapid Recovery1. Start the BMR process using the Boot CD.2. Open URC console and run cmd there.3. Switch to directory X:\ProgramData\AppRecovery\Logs4. Open Apprecovery.log and ApprecoveryURC.log located in X:\ProgramData\AppRecovery\Logs folder.5. Save the log files to a shared folder, say "\\10.10.10.10\Shared"6. On a separate machine, send the log file to the Engineer who has requested it.
