Can I take a Bare Metal backup and have it directly put on the DR appliance like any other backup?
The backup process is the same, correct? I use my existing NVBU server and install the BMR "server" as a package?

BMR backups can be written to RDA containers. However, if Linux “Offline” BMR Clients have problems writing to a RAS device (RDA or NVSD), don’t boot them with the Linux boot CD. Instead, use the WinPE boot CD for those Linux Offline BMR backups.
Yes, VaultDR/BMR “Server” package & its license on the NVBU Server, then for Online BMR backups install the VaultDR Online for [Windows/Linux] plugin & license on the NV Client(s) you want to back up with BMR. Once that’s done, you can just set up a Backup of the Client by expanding the VaultDR plugin on the Client and choose the disks that you want to do an image-level backup of.
