How to change vRanger host name (4039835)

Procedure for changing vRanger host name. 

1. Change host name via my computer >> properties

2. Reboot vRanger box as name change requires it. 

3. Go to uninstall programs select vRanger Pro and select change.

4. Once vRanger installer opens select modify installation.

5. On the credential screen clear the populated credentials and re-enter even if it is same user. This needs to be done to clear old cached computer name then click next.

6. On the database selection screen hit refresh next to vRanger database server drop-down. Once refresh is finished select new

server name/ vrangerpro from drop down and click next and hit ok on warning pop-up

7. If cataloging is installed do same steps for next screen If not just hit next.

8. select install. 

NOTE: In some instances you may see error after install completes or can not connect to service error when trying to start vRanger. If this happens go to services and and edit the service properties and remove and re-enter service account information for all vRanger services.
