This is caused by the VTL creation on the Domain Domain Device.
The Data Domain VTL guide will recommend to create the Data Domain VTL identifier as a "DDVTL".
However, NetVault will recognize this as an unsupported device, because it is qualifying the device hierarchy and the templates we used based on the device name. This means that we are just seeing it as a Data Domain Device rather than a VTL or standard tape library.
To resolve this issue, the device will have to be first removed from NetVault.
Next, go back to the Data Domain Web interface -> Configuration -> VTL
Re-create the device using the device name/Library Emulation "STK L180" or "IBM TS3500". These are available in the Device Name/Type Dropdown.
Once complete and the VTL is re-created on the Data Domain, the device can be re-added back into NetVault.
