Orphan Snapshots do not consolidate and backup never finishes or errors out with "VM has no disk" -
Description
Unable to finish or errors out doing the backup. -
Cause
A possible cause of this would be phantom snapshots on the VM
These may not be seen through the Snapshot Manager in the vSphere Client
Show as VM_NAME-000001.vmdk or VM_NAME-000002.vmdk

Resolution
A possible solution is to update VMtools
Once VMtools is up to date you will be able to consolidate
If that does not work you can try this:
Create a quiesced snapshot.
Open Snapshot Manager and the delete all snapshots.
