Error while selecting saveset for restore ''Error: Provider 'NVBUPit' failed

Getting error while selecting saveset of backup to restore:

Error: Provider 'NVBUPit' failed

       

CAUSE 1

While building restore selection set, NetVault Backup server searches icons in the .../CachedPits/folder. If the client or machine to restore is not added as NetVault client in the NetVault server but is added in another NetVault Backup server, icons can't be retrieved.

CAUSE 2

The source client does not exist in the environment anymore.

WORKAROUND 1 (this is for CAUSE 1 only)

1. Login to the other NetVault Backup Server where the source client was added (if this is not possible because, the client is not added anywhere, check WORKAROUND 2)
2. Navigate to \NetVault Backup\gui\CachedPits\
3. Then copy files:

PitIcons
PitMethods
TimeStamp files

4. Login to NetVault Backup Server where the NVBUPit error is showing up
5. Navigate to \NetVault Backup\gui\CachedPits\
6. Place the copied files above to this folder.

WORKAROUND 2 (this is for CAUSE 2 only)

Add the source client if possible or if is still accessible in the environment.

STATUS

Waiting for fix in a future release of NetVault Backup

Backup was taken from NetVault 8.61 (MYSQL & FS) in this case but looks like all old versions are affected. No error while selecting backup which was taken from NetVault 10.
