Cataloging a VM fails with "Catalog operation timed out and was aborted"
Description

When cataloging a VM the following log entry is observed in the task log:
"Catalog operation timed out and was aborted."
Cause

The catalog operation is taking some time and is reaching the default timeout value of ten minutes.
Resolution

Please go to the installation folder of vRanger, normally located at: C:\Program Files\Quest\vRanger
Open the config file Vizioncore.vRanger.Service.exe.config and modify the following lines:
•<add key="CatalogTimeout" value="10"/>
• <add key="CatalogBackupWaitTimeout" value="10"/>
Change these from the default of 10 minutes to a value greater than 10. This may be needed for especially large VMs or those with a large number of files and folders.
