Connection to HyperV host shows a red icon -
Description
It is observed that the HyperV host in vRanger inventory shows a red icon indicating that the connection is not established properly with vRanger. Agent has been successfully installed and the vRanger Physical Client service is running. -
Cause
Port 8081 that the vRanger Hyper-V agent is connecting to, is in use by McAfee Antivirus that is running on HyperV server.
Another possible cause may be the firewall that is turned on on the Hyper-V server.

Resolution
Use a different Port when establishing a connection to HyperV host from vRanger.
Port 8082 for example.
Turn off the Firewall and try to connect the Hyper-V server.
