This solution explains how to import license files to vRanger and how to manage Virtual & Physical licensing
A. Import License File
1. In vRanger, navigate to Tools | Options | Product
2. Click 'Add New Licence'
3. Browse to the location of the license file. Click to select it and click 'Open'
4. Click 'Apply' & Click 'OK'
B. Manage Virtual Machine Host Licensing
1. In vRanger, navigate to Tools | Options | Virtual Machine Hosts
2. In the Currently Installed Licenses section, the CPUs Allowed value shows the number of sockets that are included with the installed license. The number of licenses currently allocated is shown in the CPUs Used column.
3. In the Licensed Virtual Machine Hosts Section, here hosts can be selected for licensing, with the CPU column showing the amount of CPUs used on that respective host.
C. Manage Physical Machine Licensing
1. In vRanger, navigate to Tools | Options | Virtual Machine Hosts
2. In the Currently Installed Licenses Section, the Machines Allowed Value confirms the number of physical licenses available anf the Machines Used shows the number of licenses currently allocated.
3. The Licensed Physical Machine section shows the physical machines in vRanger inventory, here is where the machine is ticked to enable licensing on that physical machine
