A potential cause for this is an open snapshot on the vm. Open snapshots will cause vRanger to not apply the ABM filter so we will backup deleted files and in 6.1 we will backup the page file.
Having open snapshots during a backup is not supported using the VDDK tools, all ESXi backups. The backup process merges the snapshot, same as deleting the snapshot, on the fly.
