Recreating the Rapid Recovery Repository (4036074)

If the backups on the repository are not longer required, rather than deleting them and waiting for the Core to reclaim the storage space, it might be a better approach to delete the Rapid Recovery repository and re-create it. This article details the steps necessary to delete the repository, create a new one, and assign it to the systems that are being protected.

WARNING: This operation will delete all items contained within the repository folder. If there is enough storage space, consider detaching the repository from the Core and create a new one. Rapid Recovery Support does not recommend deleting a repository unless it is absolutely necessary.

Deleting a Repository

WARNING: When a repository is deleted, the data contained within is discarded and cannot be recovered.

1. On the icons located in the upper left corner of the console, click More (⋯), and select Repositories. 
2. Click the [⋯] button located on the last column of the Repository that will be deleted.
3. In the emerging menu, click Delete.
4. Confirm that the repository can be deleted by pressing the [Yes] button.

Creating a Repository

1. On the icons located in the upper left corner of the console, click More (⋯), and select Repositories. 
2. Click the [+ Create] button and select between creating a DVM or Azure repository.

Assigning a Repository

1. Select a machine from the list of protected system on the left side of the screen. 
2. Click the Settings tab.
3. Select the preferred value from the Repository drop down list.
