Create a new policy. Then create new selections – use selection for a plugin. In this scenario, selections for a SQL Server backup named: “sql server plugin test” and “sql server plugin test 2” are selected.
The new created selections do not appear in the dropdown list for selections field however, the selections are created and are showing from the “Manage Set” window. See attached for clearer picture of the issue.
The NetVault Administrator's Guide is incorrect. It should refer to the "Plugin for NetVault Databases" i.e. for backing up NetVault's own database not add-on database plugins such as Oracle, MySQL, SQL, etc.
WORKAROUND
None. Netvault is working as designed. Correction is with the documentation.
