Error: the local host.local domain cannot be found
Description

Getting error when trying to backup VM's on host. Error: the local host.local domain cannot be found
Cause

DNS Host Identification had not been configured on the host
Resolution

Using vSphere client connect to the host.

Select the host | Select configuration tab | Select DNS and Routing under Software | Open Properties and fill in suitable name and domain settings.

These details may need to updated on the DNS server also.

Refresh vRanger inventory.
