Error Message: 2457
Description

Backups fail with the following error message:

"Backup failed: An internal error occurred during execution, please contact Quest support if the error persists. Error Message: 2457 - FATAL file_missing the files "cifs:<username>:@<networkPath><VMname>.var"
Cause

This can be caused when you modify a backup job that has been running Differential or Incremental backups and you change the job to perform Fulls instead. Since the job was originally configured to perform Differentials or Incrementals it may fail with the above error message on subsequent passes.
Resolution

The resolution to this is to create a new job rather than modify the existing job if you are moving from Differentials or Incrementals to Fulls. Keep in mind that you will have to manually go back into the repository and remove the savepoints since they will get orphaned by moving to a new job.
Additional Information

This was observed in vRanger 5.3.1 and was duplicated in vRanger 5.4.
