Prior to applying a Custom Binary (CB), consider the following:
Verify the MSI file containing the CB for system restrictions. These restrictions could contain specific security configurations that will affect the implementation of the binary. To do this:
Complete the following steps.
1. Download the CB MSI file from the provided link and save it to a location of your choosing.
2. Open the services console and stop the Core Service.
NOTE: Depending on the functions enabled on the Core, the service may take between 10-15 minutes to fully stop. It is critical to wait until the service complete stops before moving on to the next steps.
3. Open an elevated command prompt: right-click on the command prompt window and select Run as Administrator. In the command prompt browse to the folder containing the MSI file and specify the MSI name. Press Enter to install it.
4. During the CB installation you will be prompted to choose if you would like the Core service to start after the binary application.
5. If the core service does not start automatically after applying the binary and receiving a window stating that the CB was successfully installed, start the Core service manually (see step 6).
6. Start the Core Service.
