You are decommissioning an ESX(i) host or adding hosts and want to move the Virtual Appliance.
Please follow these steps:
- In the vRanger GUI go to Tools>Options>Virtual Appliance>Configuration
- Select the VA you want to move and select Remove
- Using the vSphere client migrate the VA to the desired host
- In the vRanger GUI go to the My Inventory tab and select Refresh Inventory
- In the vRanger GUI go to Tools>Options>Virtual Appliance>Configuration and select Add
- Browse the inventory list that appears and locate the VA
- Enter the root password and select OK
