It is observed that the restore of PostgreSQL databases take a long time to restore when compared to that of a File System Restore
STATUS:
Enhancement request number 18731 has been submitted to Development for consideration in a future release of NetVault Backup
WORKAROUND:
A Backup option has been added to the NetVault Backup Plug-in for PostgreSQL to dump the data as a copy data, which allows to perform copy restores. During backup, it will be allowed to choose to dump the data as a copy in addition to the currently available method that dumps the data as insert commands. Copy restores will result in reduced restoration times.
