You Need To Format drive "x" Windows Notifications with HotAdd Backups. (4033310)

After making HotAdd backups, Windows notifications are displayed on the vRanger server:

"You need to format the disk of drive "x": before you can use it.

Do you want to format it?"

Windows is still possibly seeing HotAdded disks as being mounted to the vRanger machine.

In disk Management however, the disk is not visible.

One possible solution is to "Disable" automount on the vRanger machine.

This will prevent Windows from assigning a drive letter to the source VMDK.

To do this:

Open a command prompt on the vRanger machine.

Run the command:  diskpart

DISKPART> automount disable

Run some more HotAdd backups to test.
