Error when trying to add a Hyper-V cluster into vRanger's inventory -
Description
When you attempt to add a Hyper-V cluster into vRanger's inventory you get the following error in vRanger:
The RPC server is unavailable. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800706BA)“

Cause
Look within the Cluster Events for the following event:
"Cluster network name resource 'Cluster Name' failed registration of one or more associated DNS name(s) for the following reason:
The handle is invalid.

Ensure that the network adapters associated with dependent IP address resources are configured with at least one accessible DNS server."
This is an indication that cluster machine name may not have full control over the DNS record or the credentials need to be re-synchronized for the computer object associated with the Network Name resource -
Resolution
Running the following will re-synchronize the credentials for the computer object associated with the Network Name resource.
- Grant cluster machine’s name full control over the record in DNS.
- Using an account that has the proper rights to edit DNS, log into a cluster server.
- Open the Failover Cluster Manager. Select the cluster and go to the Custer Core Resources section.
- Right Click on the Cluster Name resource. Select More Actions > Repair
If you are running a Windows Server 2012 cluster in an older domain, you may also need to apply the following hotfix to prevent this DNS issue from occurring again.
