After upgrading/rebuilding from an older version of VMWare Virtual Center Server to vCenter 5.1, vRanger replications using ABM (Active Block Mapping -- set within the job options of the replication) randomly hang (no hard error; they just hang until the timeout period has elapsed.) The problem persists even after removing/re-adding the Virtual Center to the vRanger inventory, and all inventory items look to be correct.
1) Edit the replication job(s) that are failing.
2) Go to the job options screen within the Replication job(s).
3) Un-check "Use Active Block Mapping".
4) Save and Exit.
5) Re-run the Replication job(s) with ABM disabled.
The VMs should now replicate successfully. Once a "good" replication pass has been made, the ABM filter may be re-enabled on the job(s) in question, and should now work properly.
