After upgrading the database from 18.104.22.168 to Oracle 10.2.0.3/10.2.0.4 and changing listener port the status is Instance is down.
- During database upgrade the bit version of the database change from 32 bit to 64 bit.
- The database oracle home is changed.
First upgrade Performance Analysis to the version 6.5.413 or latest version. The latest agent installer is available for download from Supportlink | Downloads and Update section.
Next, performthe following changes only if needed (Ensure to backup the files before changing them):
On the middle-tier host (middleware host):
1. If the database oracle home has been changed, fix the change of oracle homein the following file.
cd <install directory><install_dir></install_dir>/StealthCollect/6.0/<host-instance>/quest_sc_mw/config
and change the filequest_sc_mw.cfgso that the collector_oracle_home value is updated to the new value of the database oracle home.
On the monitored host:
2. The following file should be changed if the Oracle bit version have changed (not in a Windows machine) meaning if the Oracle was 32 bit and now is 64 bit or the Oracle was 64 bit and now is 32 bit.
Go to <install directory><install_dir></install_dir>/StealthCollect/6.0/launch_conf/launch_config.quest_sc_collector.<host-instance><instance></instance>.user
If the database was 64 bit and now it is 32 bit please remove the following line
