When setting up a Public Folder or Calendar synchronization job, I am unable to choose an administrative mailbox for the job as no mailboxes appear on the target server.
This problem was caused when the Target Organization was added. During initial enumeration of the Target Org the Add Exchange topology only option was selected.
To add a single Administrative Mailbox, browse down through the Target Org; select the target server and right click on it. Select Add recipients to the EMW database or Add Recipients to Database (in QMM). You can browse to a specific OU or just press the Find Now button. A list of recipients is generated and displayed in the left hand window. Select the recipient you want to use and press the button in between the two windows that has the >> on it. You can put as many recipients as you would like. Press the Add button and you are finished.
Now try to create your Public Folder or Calendar job.
If a complete refresh is required, re-add the Target Organization (without deleting it) and verify that refresh exchange topology only option is unchecked and select Use Global Catalog for enumeration. This will refresh all Administrative Groups, Servers, Stores and Mailboxes on them automatically. Note that a full refresh will take considerable time.
