When I launch SQL Optimizer from a Quest product, like Toad, or try to registered SQL Optimizer, it gives me one on the following message:
"Invalid authorization key"
"Invalid authorization key (Wrong Edition)"
"Invalid authorization key (Bad License Key)"
"Invalid authorization key (License Bad Critical Machine)"
The key was not entered in the correct location or you didn't look into the right location
In the product authorization (Help | Authorization) you will find four products:
- "Quest SQL Optimizer for Oracle (version 7 or later)"
- "Quest Central for Oracle SQL Tuning"
- "SQL Navigator for Oracle with SQL Tuning option"
- "Toad for Oracle with SQL Tuning option"
You have to have entered the key for the correct product.
If the key is valid for the entry "Toad for Oracle with SQL Tuning option", you must select that product and enter the key for it, then you should not get "Invalid authorization key (Bad License Key)" shown in the dialog.
Then your SQL Optimizer should work properly as standalone and when launching from within Toad.
